The Imperium's forward staging Keepstar in Atioth is under attack. Over 7,000 capsuleers are in system. WinterCo has committed everything to kill this Keepstar before it becomes the permanent dagger pointed at their space. If it dies, the entire Geminate offensive stalls. If it onlines, supers and titans stage forward and the war enters a new phase.
Imperium dropped their Keepstar on the exact grid where they killed TEST's 216B ISK Keepstar in February. Bold move. WinterCo says "not in our backyard." Capital escalation is inevitable. The TiDi will be legendary.
What's at stake: If the Keepstar onlines, Imperium supers and titans jump forward to Atioth and the entire KR-XF4 constellation becomes a permanent Imperium staging area 6 jumps from WinterCo's heartland. If it dies, Asher has to explain to 10,000 goons why they set their alarm clocks for Chinese TZ for nothing.

Declaring war on the entire WinterCo coalition gives them a big scary opponent to frame the narrative around, while the actual first-week military objectives are all in TEST space.
The SOTA declared war on Winter Coalition. The stated target? The "staging Keepstar in Geminate." Sounds dramatic. Sounds strategic. There's just one tiny problem:
WinterCo stages out of completely different systems. The Geminate Keepstar is primarily a TEST Alliance staging point. Everyone who's played this game for more than five minutes knows this.
